How to Track Subscriptions
Subscriptions are easy to ignore because each one can look small on its own. The problem appears when streaming services, cloud storage, apps, memberships, software, and annual renewals all stack together.
List every recurring charge
Start with bank and card statements. Add each subscription with its amount, renewal date, billing frequency, category, and payment method. Include yearly services too, then review them before renewal month arrives.
Use categories to spot patterns
Separate entertainment, software, phone, cloud storage, fitness, household, and work subscriptions. Categories make it easier to see whether one area is quietly growing.
Review renewals before they happen
Set reminders before renewal dates, especially for annual plans and free trials. A subscription tracker should give you enough time to cancel, pause, downgrade, or keep the service intentionally.
